Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant                     

Mount Pleasant, WC1
£22,000 p.a. 12-month contract.

 
We require a practical, versatile and responsible person as Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant for our office premises in Mount Pleasant. Duties include:-
 
• Opening and locking up the offices

• Early morning and evening switchboard /reception cover

• Light maintenance jobs around the building, involving the use of hand tools, ladders etc to make repairs and improvements

• Light furniture moving as required.  

• Distribution of newspapers, catering supplies and other items around the building.
 
The job requires a split working day, 7.30 to 11.30am and 3.30 to 7.30 pm, Monday to Friday. There will be an occasional need to attend the offices at night or weekends, in the event of security alarms, so the jobholder should be a driver living within 20 minutes travel of Mount Pleasant. The Company intends to relocate from this building, so employment is on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.   
 
Ideally you should have prior facilities experience, including practical maintenance skills. Most importantly we are looking for a hard-working, honest and reliable employee who can communicate and work with limited supervision. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer 25 days annual leave and pension scheme membership.
