• I WRITE to defend Islington Arts and Media School (Teachers save pupil from school attack, January 27).
I am a 77-year-old pensioner, and can only praise this wonderful school, where I’ve had Christmas lunches in the past.
There was always a “show” to finish off and to provide much fun and laughter for senior citizens.
The pupils, although amateurs, oozed class and love in all their performances.
Their spirit made them a pleasure to watch.
I have worked with some of the pupils on their cooking classes.
The teamwork was great.
I don’t want this school to be downgraded.
When a school has a great standard of care and respect, let it shine brightly.
The teachers there do a great all-round job.
My thanks to them.
