• LIKE P Dietrich (Landlord’s free pass, June 29), I too was concerned to hear Andrew Panayi on TV boasting that he was able to ignore planning regulations when building his property empire.
The words “nod” and “wink” spring to mind.

• THE landlord seen on the recent BBC2 programme about Caledonian Road seemed to chop and change properties without planning permission. He did as he liked, and was making fun of the council.
I and my friends were incensed by his attitude.

• FOLLOWING the unveiling of a plaque to Edith Garrud in Thornhill Square, I should like to suggest that the council erects a plaque to Andrew Panayi, the well-known “build first and ask for permission later” landlord, on Caledonian Road.
