TWO top boxing clubs will be represented in the semi-finals of the National Senior Novice Championships on Saturday.
Middleweight Mourad Boudjemaa, who trains at St Pancras Amateur Boxing Club in Kentish Town, recorded a points victory over Stuart King from the Army on Sunday.
The hard-hitting 29-year-old put in a commanding display over four two-minute rounds to win the ‘B’ Class contest.
Islington Boxing Club’s Darren Ballinger also booked his place in the final four after beating Anthony Smith of the Royal Navy and Combined Services.
Competing in the 60kg ‘B’ Class division, the lightweight prospect showed off an array of punches to claim a 3-1 points victory after four tough two-minute rounds.
The two fighters will now both make their way to Aldershot for this Saturday’s semi-finals.
