Sparkling displays – Gymnasts shine
GIRLS from Camden Gymnastics Club are being tipped to shine next year after striking gold in their season’s final competitive outing.
Helena Roberts, 12, and Nadia Muccio, 11, topped the podium at the Twin-Piece Regional Championships, organised by the London Gymnastics Federation.
Competing at the novice level, Helena put in a sparkling display on the beam and bars, while Nadia shone on the floor and vault.
Head coach Karen Waldron said: “The girls did really well. They gained valuable experience performing their routines in a competitive environment. They will get better with each competition and will now know what to expect when the season starts again in March.”
Jennifer Tang, 13, and Artemis Saddington, 12, also put in creditable displays for Camden to finish fifth in the regional level competition.
Jennifer impressed on the bars and vault, and Artemis on the floor and beam.
