POLICE have released CCTV images of a man suspected of stealing a laptop from a home in Canonbury.

The man is believed to have used a brick to smash the ground floor window of a flat in Poets Road, Canonbury, sometime between 1pm and 4pm on June 15.

Islington Burglary Squad detectives are appealing for information from the public to identify the suspect, who was caught on CCTV after breaking into the flat. He is suspected of smashing the window, reaching in, and taking a laptop worth £400 from inside the house.

CCTV taken from a nearby shop showed the suspect apparently stuffing the stolen computer into his bag.

He is described as about 20 years old, 6ft tall and slim with cropped black hair and a moustache. He was wearing a grey horizontally striped hooded top.

Anyone with information can call Detective Constable Darren Rose on 020 7421 0150 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
