JESSIE WRIGHT: Teenager appears in court charged with murder

A TEENAGER has appeared in court this morning charged with the murder of Maria Fidelis schoolgirl Jessie Wright.

Zakk Sackett, wearing a grey t-shirt and plastic rosary beads, spoke only to confirm his name and address at a short hearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court. Mr Sackett, 19, of Outram Place in King's Cross, was arrested on Thursday.

Magistrates overturned a ban on reporting Miss Wright's identity after representations from the press. Her body was found by council workmen in a yard in Outram Place on Thursday.

Mr Sackett was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on March 10.
