WHEN the nation gathers to celebrate the Queen’s 60th year on the throne this summer, Holloway Arts Festival will be marking a momentous anniversary of its own.

The festival, which is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, will be returning with a packed line-up including writer AL Kennedy, poet John Hegley and comedian Josie Long.

Held at venues around Holloway, the festival spans the double bank holiday on June 4 and June 5.

The action kicks off on Friday June 1 with a screening of the Bafta-nominated film Festival by Melanie Manchot at the Old Fire Station on Seven Sisters Road.

Josie Long brings the laughs to the Horatia in Holloway Road on Thursday, June 7, alongside Otiz Cannelloni. John Hegley brings his show Animal Alphaboating for All to Platfrom on Hornsey Road on Sunday, June 3.

AL Kennedy will make one of the final performances on Sunday, June 10, at Platform before the closing party at the Horatia.
