PARENTS and staff have been singing the praises of children at Gillespie primary school in Highbury, who have been producing mosaic art work for their playground.

The work was inspired by art teacher Amy Hobson, who provided the materials and allowed the children, aged between three and five, to get
on with it. Some 14 parents helped with the project.

“The painting and drawing were all the children’s own ideas from stories they heard,” said Ms Hobson.

“Their work will really brighten up a rather grey concrete playground.”
