POSTAL workers are celebrating victory following their successful campaign to stop the closure of a nursery at the Mount Pleasant sorting office in Farringdon.
It follows a deal with postal chiefs in which the Communication Workers Union agreed to increased charges for full-time child care.
The nursery was threatened with closure due to a cost-cutting drive.
“Saving Mount Pleasant nursery is fantastic news for the parents who rely on this facility,” said deputy general secrtary of the CWU, Dave Ward.
