THE long-term unemployed in Islington are to get advice on how to start their own business.
Islington Chamber of Commerce and the government’s Job Centre Plus are to run workshops in the autumn for unemployed people who might be able to set up their own enterprise.
Chamber chief executive Ronke Lawal said many unemployed people had expressed interest in setting up businesses.
“It may not be the ideal time but hopefully things can only get better,” she said. “We will provide experts on how people can market their skills and advertise themselves.”
