City and Islington College actors with a message about how to stay safe

YOUNG actors from City and Islington College performed plays at Islington Assembly Hall on Monday on the theme of how to avoid people who will try to take advantage of them.
The sketches, organised by Islington’s Safeguarding Partnership, were aimed at young people with special needs but were welcomed by anyone who has had unpleasant experiences at the hands of nasty people.
Labour councillor Janet Burgess, health and well-being chief, said: “We all need to be aware of dangers whether we have special needs or not.”
