LOAN sharks are the latest target in the campaign to clamp down on debt in Islington

A “shop a loan shark” scheme run jointly by Islington Council and Islington Debt Coalition will launch today (Friday) aiming to stamp out illegal moneylenders who loan out sums to desperate people who are too scared to speak out. Now people are being asked to shop them anonymously.

Catch the advice road show tomorrow (Saturday) 10am-4pm at Morrisons supermarket, Nag’s Head; and at 12pm-5pm at Soul in the City, Andover estate; Monday 11am-2pm at Chapel Market; Wednesday 3.30-5pm at Ambler School, Blackstock Road; Thursday 3.30-5pm at Enthrone Park, Hazellville Road; and  Friday 3-4pm at Tilloch Street.

Call the Illegal Money-Lending Team on 0300 555 2222 to leave an anonymous tip about a loan shark. If you are in debt contact Islington Credit Union on 020 7561 1786.
