A DRAGON, a punk rocker, the Queen and her mum could be spotted barking at each other in Barnsbury on Saturday.

Dogs of all sizes were competing in a fancy dress competition at the Jubilee party held by The Friends of Barnsbury Square Gardens.

Border terrier Hattie sported a dragon cape while Lynda Fauvel had gelled spikes into the hair of Sidney, a seven-month-old Chinese crested dog, to transform him into Sid Vicious.

Ann Alpiranta entered her Yorkshire terrier George. “I’ve lived in the area for 30 years and this is my favourite park and there’s a wonderful team spirit,” she said. “We have two gatherings a week and all the dogs are in safe surroundings.”
