FAST Show comedian Paul Whitehouse used his rapid-fire skills to shoot questions at Islington youngsters when he hosted a University Challenge-style quiz.
Schools from across the borough took part in the test of pupils’ knowledge of consumer rights, money management and citizenship at the Emirates Stadium. Overall winners were boys from Central Foundation Boys School, with Mount Carmel second. Both will go on to represent Islington in the regional finals later this year. St Aloysius and Islington police cadets were other runners-up.
“It was impressive to see how much these young people knew about their rights,” said council leader Catherine West.
