Murder suspects held by police after 59-year-old man is stabbed to death

TWO men are being held by police on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing in Barnsbury.

A 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at an address in Thornhill Road by paramedics yesterday (Monday) evening.

Officers are awaiting formal identification and the notification of next of kin before releasing further details of the victim.

The two arrested men, aged 58 and 63, are being questioned at separate police stations. A post-mortem examination was due to be held this afternoon at St Pancras mortuary.
