REM you’ve been around for a while. So long in fact that it’s easy to forget some of your earlier masterpieces. So this 25th anniversary edition of Life’s Rich Pageant is just the reminder I was looking for. With a bonus CD of The Athens Demos featuring 19 previously unreleased tracks, this is a reminder that the 80s wasn’t all high ponytails, bangles and new romantic malaise.
