SPRINTER Dwain Chambers has been included in Team GB’s athletics squad for the London Olympic Games
The 34-year-old, who grew up in Finsbury, has been selected to run in the 100m and the 4x100m relay at this summer’s grand showpiece.
Chambers (pictured) looked in sharp shape recently when he won the men’s 100m final at the Aviva 2012 Trials at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium in a time of 10.25 seconds.
“For me representing my country in an Olympics is a privilege that should never be taken for granted,” said Chambers.
“To be given the opportunity to do so in my home town has been a dream that at times has seemed very distant and is now a reality.”
