HOTSHOT Emmanuel Makaya scored a dramatic equaliser to earn Lyndhurst the point they needed to win the Under-9s ‘A’ Division of the Camden and Islington Midweek Youth League.

Primrose Hill were leading 1-0 and heading towards the title until the fleet-footed forward grabbed the vital goal to seal a 1-1 draw and spark jubilant scenes of celebration.

In a tremendous team effort, Serak Seyoum, Ben Julian, Deen Tijani, Frankie Sabine and Harry Howe all played their part in helping Lyndhurst earn the precious point they needed.

Managed by Colin Julian and Peter Cushing, Lyndhurst (right) went into the game in confident mood having won their previous game against The Heath 1-0 thanks to a goal from player-of-the-match Denis Lord-Hassan.

Harry Ward was outstanding in goal, while Nicholas O’Hara, Cameron Saunders and Rees Jones also shone for unbeaten champions Lyndhurst.
